I was talking to a lovely lady yesterday and she mentioned about one of her fab meets earlier this year.This guy was a gentleman on the forums and on the phone, but turned out to be a scumbag in real life!

So are you on your good, bad or worse behaviour, while on fab?

I must admit that I am on my worst behavior when on fab. I sometimes cringe, reading the things I have typed on here. In real life I am a bit more polished and well behaved!

Exactly as in real life in my case. I want people to be able to judge me purely on who I am, not some fake individual most people would see through in no time. No sense being other than who you are in terms of being judged as a potential person of interest.

I say what I think, I'm an open book. In person you can see me snarling though and the look of "I will kill you" in my eyes.

You'll also see me silly dancing, pulling faces and generally being daft.

So I'm just the same, an emotional volcano that will either smother you with love or venom depending how you treat me.

I have a few differnt sides to me, thoughtful and caring but sometimes self centred, funny(try to be) and sometimes straight talking, feisty and sometimes a sweetheart, dickish at times, confident but sometimes quiet and anxious, it depends on all the differnt little things that have gone on during the day prior to when you find me. I'm like this with the people I know well whereas with strangers I'll always be courteous and welcoming. On the Fab forum I just try to keep it lighthearted and humorous which is a good reflection of me but not exactly the case in real life 100% of the time.

I'm exactly the same in real life and I've never met anyone who was different in real life to how they were on the phone. Phone calls are my version of a social. Remember you're only getting half the story. The "scumbag" in question might tell a different story if you asked him.

As someone with a background in social psychology, I agree. Different aspects of who I am are salient in different environments. If I was EXACTLY the same eg in my vanilla social life as I am on here or at clubs, that would be weird and inappropriate.

So are you on your good, bad or worse behaviour, while on fab?

I must admit that I am on my worst behavior when on fab. I sometimes cringe, reading the things I have typed on here. In real life I am a bit more polished and well behaved!
