i see TV personality and influencer Caroline Flack has been charged with assault after atacking her partner .i am wondering where the huge public outcry over this is where are the calls for her to be sacked and never work again and made a periah her whole carreer ruined . or is it that she is pretty blobde and not a man ? |

I read an article earlier which I found to be massive double standards. It talked about how she had earlier written a ‘heartbreaking’ tweet about how much of a tough time she was having . And used the words “the 5’3 star allegedly attacked her 6’4 boyfriend” I found the language used to be very supportive of her and used the fact she is a small female and he is a large Male to almost dismiss her or wrong doing.
That lad off emmerdale was sacked for threatening another bloke at the NTAs I find treating her differently because she’s a woman to be wrong. Domestic violence is wrong no matter who does it. |

Carolines partner is not standing against her apparently, he didn’t want to prosecute, it was the police and then CPS which went ahead regardless as apparently the police officer who attended the scene said it “ was like a blood bath” and he was severely distressed.
I agree with the police with giving power to proceed without consent of victim, as sometimes victims are under severe fear of comebacks |

Police and victim himself said she was guilty, until victim withdrew as standing for prosecution and only a witness. Surely if its gone to crown court its a serious penalty giving shes pleaded not guilty, the cps must see sufficient evidence to secure a conviction, thats how it works “ usually “ |

So far i stress so far shes still under trial and as said previously even without victim’s consent. By law he can be called as a witness even thought he’s not prosecuting. |

I can only see this going one way. Caroline has pleaded not guilty so therefore it will go to crown court. However the CPS have evidence to secure a prosecution and therefore will be based on jury verdict, im thinking she will be found guilty but be given a non custodial sentence but she will have a criminal record for life and a heavy fine and probably costs thousands of pounds, when it really shouldn’t of went to crown, but she wasn’t ever ever going to plead guilty |

Fair point, though personally I'd like to see the back of her due to her being crap at the job. She's dull as dishwater and like cardboard cut-out. My suspicion is that she only got the job based on looks as there are way more talented women presenters out there who actually have a personality. He is still required by law to stand as witness regardless of withdrawing his initial allegation as the police have proceeded without his consent and the cps have decided to prosecute she pleaded not guilty at her plea hearing which she can do regardless if he was co operating or not. Usual procedure is happening. Our police and cps have followed usual procedure, it’s now down to judge and jury |

Domestic violence requires positive action, regardless of the compliance of victims who undoubtedly dont always see their plight.

A victim of abuse
Phyical my bruises went my jaw fixed after few months back to self except the mental harm caused
Sexual again bruises gone pain down there gone except left with the mental harm

My friends dad did 3 months in prison on remand for a victimless prosecution at the hands of Merseyside police and his ex wife. When it came to court day she didn’t turn up, then finally admitted she’d made the whole thing up. Merseyside police didn’t even prosecute her. I have lived with a criminal lawyer for 20 years and am a lawyer myself. I cannot believe the ignorant incorrect comments about the law, the cps witnesses giving evidence. I'd like to see anyone of you charged with an offence even if you are not guilty which happens often. Just the stress of being charged and standing trial is enough to ruin a person's life especially one in the public light. This woman has now died at the age of 40.
