I've never seen anyone wear knickers over their suspenders. Maybe I've not been paying enough attention. I would go under with crotchless or just not wear them.

It's perfectly fine if you want to wear your knickers over the top of your suspenders. In fact, it's a great idea if you plan to wear stockings and suspenders out for the night, otherwise you'll be in for some awkward visits to the ladies room.

In history it was knickers on top because with all the under clothes it was easier to remove them. You look a the reenactors that dress on YouTube the knickers are on top
