"'So What?' - Anti-Nowhere League
I still have that.
Mine is Dead Kennedys - Police Truck"
Strictly speaking the DKs were New Wave not Punk but I'm going to allow it because they were fucking amazing and because you chose one of their choicest ditties.
California Uber Alles edges it for me tho. |

The DKs don't fit neatly into the punk bracket - they were satirical / political rather than nihilistic and they were quite accomplished musically as opposed to the 3 chord DIY punk ethic. Even in their heyday a lot of people didn't consider them to be truly punk.
JB himself once said "we're not a punk band were a new wave band" ........ although he was probably being satirical at the time |

He was as alway. He was in the uk last year and put on a fantastic show.
The Dead Kennedys...if you were one of the luck ones to ever see them back when they came to the UK the first time were what punk was suppose to be...choatic, poetic and with a strong message for the dis-enfranchised youth at the time... |

My mum was 20 when she had me so when i was 13/14 she was only 33/34. Each week we would both buy a single, she was the boomtown rats fan at the time and i we always listened to the b sides. I remember coming home with something else by the sex pistols and her putting the b side on(friggin in the riggin) her face was a picture first time she heard it lol |

"Stand Strong, Stand Proud" by Vice Squad (because I was/am in love with Beki)
"Staring at the Rude Boys" by the Ruts
"God Save The Queen" Sex Pistols (how can this possibly still sound so good after all this time? It beats some of the high budget, ultra-engineered stuff of the same time, which sounds dated and, well, shit)
"Animal" and "Woman" by Anti Nowhere League.
"Butcher Baby" by Plasmatics
"Dead on Arrival" by Charged GBH
Pretty much anything by UK Subs. |

I just cant beleive the amount of ex punks on here...and such a wide variety of tastes in punk too..they say old punk never die...they just go rotten!
I always thought swingers were more of your Celine Dion and Elton John, Cher and Chris De Burgh types.. |

"Surprised noone has said teenage kicks yet" Are your eyes painted on? Anything by Dumpys Rusty Nuts or The UK SUBS! I wouldn't recognise it like just a bit of name dropping. More a Humperdink man myself |
