I've been put in charge of the family Christmas cheese board and I'm looking for specific reccomendations beyond your standard cheeses. I've seen a gingerbread wensleydale I'm curious about!
Thanks in advance! |

"There’s a cheese threaded with marmite that’s quite good. ‘Love it or hate it’ type of thing.
I buy the mini ones! So good!"
I’ve not tried those.
But the one I mentioned is from Worcester and has veins running through it. |

"Époisses definitely - Waitrose do a brilliant one. Piave, taleggio and fontina are just sexual and great additions to a board.
Have you considered doing fondue? "
Waitrose! How bougie do you think I am? Though yes I have considered a fondue so maybe you called it right... |

On a scale of Conservative to champagne socialist, middling.
Do a fondue! Ohhhh with raclette cheese and gruyere and mozarella for extra string potential. Fuck. You've inspired me to do one now/I've talked myself into one. |

If you're in Liverpool can you get to the Liverpool Cheese Company in Woolton?
They'll work with you to pull a great balanced board together and will recommend crackers and garnishes for each cheese. |

A decent aged Stilton
Some of those truckles that supermarkets stock at this time of year are interesting and cheap, about a quid each.
Wensleydale and cranberries has been mentioned but try it with digestive biscuits.

Typical Christmas cheese but I love white stilton with apricot, Jamie says blue murder for a good strong one or arran smoked cheddar. We got some amazing red pesto gouda when we went to Amsterdam if you don't mind importing them, depends how dedicated you are to cheese |
