"back in 77 got to number 2 ,after selling more copies than rod stewart who was number 1,,wonder if it will finally get the number one spot it should have had with facebook behind it this time around " I hope not. I think there should be an MBE for whoever it was described them as sounding like Bad Company with Old Man Steptoe on vocals... (Turns out it was Captain Sensible) |

It could be a close run thing - I mean - Johnny Rotten or Lord Lloyd Webber? One's a self obsessed cynical right wing bastard obsessed with money, and the other one is Lloyd Webber... |

Heard a rumour that the Pistols were asked to play at some fesival being organised by or for the Olympics and they knocked it back...
It is the record companys flogging a dead horse...as the Album and a four single box set was released for the 30year since its release...nice poster in the vinyl version... |

It did get to number one but they refused to admit it. I remember woolworths always had the number 1 song posters all over the front windows and that week they had a blackout and didnt put anything up. Rod stewart was made the official number one.
Will it get to number 1 this time? I dont know things changed since then, doubt it would get any air play or acknowledgement even if it did.
But oh the memories lol |

british music needs good shake up. No one has anything to say about the current state of the country, lets hope it gets to number one and gives the finger to the weak arsed pretty pop music we have to endure now. |

Punk was my era and The Pistols were gods as far as we were concerned back then. Rotten has sold out his principles for swanning around on TV doing commercials dressed as a country squire promoting fookin butter.
I hope the song goes no further in the charts than it has already and us old punks can be left to fester with our memories intact instead of a load of holligabob-uni farts jumping all over it and proclaiming 'they discovered it'.
Fook off! It's ours!! |

Ah the memories. I used to sneakily play my brothers album when he was out. My parents wouldn't have been happy as I would have been deemed far too young to listen to lyrics like that, not that I understood them.
My brother was cool looking then, orange hair and bondage trousers.
I was always intrigued by the Sid and Nancy love story. In fact I still am, the Gary Oldman film is one of my faves and I own 2 Sid and Nancy tshirts.
Time has moved on now though, it wouldn't be the same seeing updated pics of the Queen with a safety pin through her nose, its been done. Though if the Queen got a real safety pin piercing to show off on the Buckingham Palace balcony then that would be cool |

There were less than 750 copies ever released on the A&M label, most of which were sent out on promo.
What is the AMS code on yours?....and is the code number indented or raised on your copy? |

Unfortunately it is in all likelyhood not a genuine promo copy, more likely been passed off as one as the record has been the subject of massive bidding wars in the past.
All the genuine promos of this record were on a plain white label with black typewritten font, they also have a genuine A&M sticker on them which is the red trumpet on a white background, the word 'DJ' doesn't appear on genuine copies either.
A&M always used the following words on their promos.....'Promotional Copy Only Not For Sale'
There will also be a pressing code....ie. AMS1234P

Have bene playing Skids quite a lot recently, but man, Prime Time by the Tubes - that whole album (Remote Control) was just mind blowing - TV is King still gets played occasionally.
