Anyone been found on here by someone from another site?

Just happened to me with someone I was talking to on POF. They found my profile on here and confronted me about it on POF. And I mean really chewed me out for having a profile on a swinging site.
Thing is I'm not entirely sure what they're so upset about or how they even have the audacity to give me shit for it. I never lied about what I was looking for (a relationship, but open to anything) and they're clearly on here too, otherwise they wouldn't know I was, so I have no idea why they're taking the moral high ground.
Shame really because we were getting on quite well over on POF. Some strange people about. |

"The irony surely is that to have found you on here they also must have a profile on Fab."
That's what I mean. It's baffled me. How can they give someone shit over it when they have one themselves?
When they confronted me about it, I even admitted that I am on here, just for a different reason than I am on POF. Nothing wrong with that. |

"It's ok for women to fuck around while dating, but if men do it they are nasty specimens. Such is their way of thinking.
See it as a lucky escape. "
Oh, I am. Like I said, we were getting on really over on POF. She seemed really nice and we had a lot in common, but I was just surprised she felt the need to bite my head off. |

"I frequently get recognised from other sites I'm on or have been on. Sometimes it's all good, sometimes it gets a bit weird.
That's why each site has an option to block someone I guess!"
How does it get weird? |

Anyone I meet on pof it’s because I see the chance of a relationship, I’m in fab for casual no strings while I’m single, guys who think because they meet me on pof and know I’m in this they can get me into bed straight away can get to fuck lol looking for two very different things, if I meet someone on pof and meet them more than a cpl times then I’ll still socialise on fab but won’t meet anyone for fun |

I joined fab just like anyone else but I joined other sites and sure as found half of fab on another site in fact the last guy I met was from the other site but has an account on here, saw him on here first though but started chatting to him on the other site.
It is not a crime to be on every site if that is what you want to do but probably find half of fab on them
A lot of us are lonely folk and seek company well I know I am and this is not a crime either. So if you find me on other sites it is not a criminal offense nor is it for anyone else.

It shouldn't get weird if you are recognised from somewhere else obviously they've been on different sites what's there to get weird about, some people are just strange fuckers |

"I met someone on Tinder and when I found out she was on here I thought, great, a fellow naughty person! "
That's how I would see it, surely it would make things easier |

How does it get weird?"
A couple of people have recognised me from my time on BDSM sites and then I've had a million pointed and sometimes aggressive questions about whether I was just pretending to sub or am I just catfishing.
Each profile on each site is slightly different (though the fundamental truths are the same) because each site I've joined I've been looking for something slightly different, but there is an insistence that one or more profiles must be a fake, rather than my using a BDSM site to explore that dynamic in the same way I use a swinging site to explore this dynamic.
It can get very odd very fast - someone once threatened to "out" me on another site as a swinger. Knock yourself out mate, maybe provide a link to my fab profile and if anyone is interested they can get in touch here too.
It makes more sense if I'm chatting to someone and they realise they know me from my brief but funny forays into online dating - it wouldn't occur to me to mention swinging or BDSM or any other sexual interests on a PoF type profile, so that sometimes comes as a surprise.
For them to recognise me I've had to have some good conversation on both sites though, as I use a face pic on a dating site and I don't on any of the more sexually-based sites.
I don't pretend to be other than I am, but sometimes people fill in the blanks and come up with a completely false impression that they somehow expect me to take responsibility for.
Not sure that makes sense or even answers your question Mavis, but it's been an interesting one to consider so thankyou. |

I think that's one of the reasons why it confused me. We were talking on POF, we got on well, she found out I was on here, I already said that I'm looking for a relationship, but open to other things along the way, so I don't get why reacted the way she did.
If she's on here then it means she's looking for something similar and if we're already getting on elsewhere, knowing we're both on here would surely make progressing things further easier. |

Ha. I only met one guy from Tinder and when he found my fab profile it was like a fucking Greek tragedy. I couldn't understand why he was so upset, we'd met twice. He was actively looking for women and tvs which I was fine with and even that pissed him off. I got rid of Tinder over that and have never missed it. |

Common sense to me but not everyone thinks the same |

No idea why. A Siberian pimp with warts on his face probably has more luck than me lol. |

Online dating sites are hard work, what gets me is being on hear or sits aiming more for nsa would make most people think you've slept with hundreds of people when in reality that's not the case for most |

Can agree with that. I'd say one of the worst parts of online dating, especially sites like POF, is you think you're getting along well with someone and then they suddenly go quiet on you, leaving you wondering what just happened.
It doesn't seem like it happens too much on here though. It seems like if you're talking to someone and they're not feeling it, they'll at least let you know rather than straight up disappear. I mean that's been my limited experience on here anyway. |

Crikey yes that answers my question. Sorry you've had to encounter such weird people. X
I think many people are similar, in that they have different aspects to them so look for different things in different places. Hope they haven't put you off. |
