It when they post off topic comments or generally inappropriate comments to kill the mood of other people's threads. I'm wondering if it's jealousy, insecurity? I know lockdown boredom a killer when we told to stay at home and not interact with people in the normal ways. It looks like they lost their social skills because we been lockdown for so long?

Yeah, but do you mean people deliberately subverting threads with “meanness” or inappropriate comments or those who have wit and throw in funny comments, even if it disrupts the flow of the thread..? Or both? Or neither..?!

lol totally... they usually do it to people who recently joined the forums. It's off putting as then it will just be the same people commenting. Forums should be for everyone to access and enjoy without fear

I'm not sure it's so much losing a social skill, as a small clique who may or may not have an agenda to derail a thread, but who seem to think, (as you said already above) they are morecome and wise. Its childish, needless and obvious.
