Meals a day

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

How often do you eat a meal daily? I only eat once a day and sometimes I ll skip a day to let body process a previous proper meal. Tend to eat only when hungry and rarely during work as my work demands of the body and it just gets sluggish if I ve eaten then go swinging around in trees. If I feel hungry I eat if not I don t.

3 or 4 meals, plus constant grazing. I am rarely full.

Mostly I eat 2 meals a day, mostly skipping breakfast.

I wish I could only eat when I'm hungry like you, but my self regulator is broken.

Maldon and Peterborough

I don't eat as much as I used to, but I nibble. Sat at a desk all day doesn't help.

And it takes a lot of energy to keep a body my size going. Lol

Breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. I get what you mean by feeling sluggish after a meal though and after watching The Game Changers recently I'm gonna give a plant based diet a go in the new year. It'll be tough as I love my food lol

I get you, your post read well

I would encourage you to watch The Game Changers though, our bodies get what we need from animals because they eat the plants. The real goodness is in the plants, so it goes anyway.

So B12 is one you should take supplements for. Apparently it comes from the dirt, when animals forage in the earth for food they inadvertently eat the dirt which is where we get B12 from. I imagine a deficiency in B12 would have been a nightmare man.

3 meals a day as the body needs regular input but the quantity at each meal varies depending on hunger.

Mine is lack of time to eat at the "right time" if that makes sense. Shift work screws everything about.

Today for example. Should have been my day off so I was doing myself a roast, get called into work for 5 (got the call at 2.45) so need to be out the house by 4ish. That gave me just over an hour to go from not being safe to enter the outside world to looking human like. That ain't long to shower and get ready, sort uniform etc. No time to eat unless I grab some toast or a crumpet. I won't finish til about 11 and don't like to eat late, 8pm is normally my eating "last orders" if it's a proper meal.

So, I'll be going without tonight

It was interesting when I lived in the woods eating just what my body needed..did that for 2 years..on second Xmas decided to treat myself to a Xmas dinner..sat down to a pint and tucked in..took my 2 hours to eat it as my sto machine wasn t able to cope with all the fats...same as my month in Himalayas no meat..couldn't t wait to get back for some pork ribs and lamb shank..my body went into meltdown...researched it and found the stomach couldn't t deal with the fat...it had altered it's chemical balancing

How do you replace the energy you burn off, with you being so active?

3 meals a day totalling less than 1850 calories plus a 500 cal burn walk daily so net 1350 cals +/- 50.

I used to treat my body like a play park and eat rubbish daily but I’ve wisened up a bit.
