Isn't fun

Is there any way I can help treat it, or is it just a case of drinking plenty of water until it's gone?

Are watery fruits ok? Like grapes or blueberries, and pain killers?

Clench , baby wipes, and stay within 200 yd’s of a toilet as this the optimal distance that ensures you make it in time

Have you been to the doctors? I’m not one to run to the docs with every little ailment but some food poisons can be deadly or cause serious damage.

I found sports drinks like lucozade or fresh fruit juices better than just plain water but I'm not a doctor so not sure if that's good advice or not.

Noooo. No fruit at all or fruit juice. Some people like to sip a stock cube in hot water, it's savoury and can be comforting

Is it food poisoning or a virus?

Just ride it out food poisoning is bacteria ingested so you can't do a lot. However if it really is food poisoning you would most likely be in hospital more likely just a virus or too much alcohol.

Dunno if this will help you but my ex thought I was amazing for making it for him when he food poisoning ...

One pint of boiled water, pinch of salt, teaspoon of sugar, and a dash of squash. Cool then sip it.

A GP told me that one years ago and it's been my best friend! Worked a treat on my kids too. Once they had had some they would stop vomiting, there was only one time that didn't happen.

My ex had food poisoning and drank that and thanked me for days.

Might not be as amazing but worth a shot.

No, if it was really serious I would probably be writhing in pain.

Would they virus go away by itself or do I need to take antibiotics.

Genuinely, just ride it out. Its awful I know but usually it'll pass in 24 hours. If it doesn't ring 111 for advice.

In the meantime keep a glass of water with you all the time and just sip it, no gulping down, rest and when you feel you can eat take small meals. Obviously maintain scrupulous hand washing etc and when it's all over change hand towels and toothbrush head.

See you on the other side, thinner and wiser

Antibiotics don't kill virus's. You'd need an antiviral for that. But most virus's need to be expelled from the body, which is what your body is trying to do so you need to ride it out but make sure you don't get dehydrated.

I'm drinking water all the time, small sips of course.

Hopefully the vomiting and stomach ache is gone by tomorrow

It probably will but you'll feel as if you've been run over by a steam roller.

At this moment, much better than 5 hours ago.

Will probably eat a banana or two as it's meant to help.

Haven't threw up since 9am

I'd say it was more likely to be a sickness bug.

Food poisoning can be identified by a stool sample, beautiful.

Touching a door handle, shaking hands, handling money, sitting near an infected person, the possibilities are endless.

There's norovirus doing the rounds at the moment too.

A lot are airborne, some can be passed through touching something contaminated with the germs. Handwashing, handwashing and more handwashing.

I had gastroenteritis a few years back, wasn't pleasant.

Money carries a huge amount of germy bugs, don't eat food without washing your hands if you can help it after handling cash.

I read that too but I don't use cash and wash my hands obsessively almost.

So I assume it must have been that hot dog
