Ha, I bet this isn’t what you were expecting. I’m after a bit of assistance.
Okay, so lately I’ve been going to the gym twice a day and the increase in muscle mass while pumped is there all day, but when I only go once a day I feel like the pump doesn’t last long and I feel like I’m not putting on any size what so ever.
So am I not consuming enough or what?
I bet yous thought this was an appreciation post.. well it kind of is. I appreciate the knowledge

There is no increase in muscle mass over one day, it's just the pump.
You grow outside the gym, not in it. Adequate rest is one of the most overlooked areas of training.
Training weights twice a day for 99.9% of people isn't productive.
If your providing the required level of stimulus to your muscles and not growing then look at your diet.
Quantity and quality of food should be addressed.

Cheers for your response mate.
I usually do one session of weights and one sessions on cardio and abs. So I don’t think I’m over doing certain muscle groups.
My stimulants are limited by what I can take through airport check ins and when it comes to food I can only unfortunately eat out of what is supplied by the rig. Although I try to eat as clean as possible and a reasonable amount of proteins.. |

"You need recovery time .train specific muscle groups ie back+biceps chest+triceps every other day "
I already do,
Back and bi’s
Chest and tris
Shoulders
Legs
One day where I do lower weights, higher reps on bi’s and tri’s. Then repeat.
Should I break it up more? |

There's loads of ways to approach it.
Push, pull, legs
Upper lower split
Full body
Plus many more
All about what works for you what you enjoy and will stick to.

Training the right way, with appropriate diet and rest is essential. It's possible to invest tons of time, every day but get little or nothing in return.
Thud getting thr right workout for you and your goals, the right diet to match your goals and enough redt. Including recovery time, are the basics.
It all needs to be balanced right.
The pump you get from training is not increased muscle mass from growth.
Don't concern yourself with what you have done less suitably -, keep your focus on your objectives. Find a gym instructor, for example, to give you a programme and dietary information for your goals. Then trIn and review after a month or so, to evaluate if it's right for you.
Like fab, it's important to set realistic expectations, so you can retain your faith etc.
I work with a lot of bodybuilders and athletes, including giving massages and the better minded have adjusted expectations, goals and overall lifestyle, to keep them on track.

I'm a bit offended you only asked the guys!
Basically everything Mr. Monkey says. Also doing daily cardio will hinder your muscle growth. You can still do cardio but keep it to short bursts and don't do it every day. |

Its insanely difficult/virtually impossible to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time I'm afraid. You'll lose muscle as well as fat as you lose weight and due to needing a calorific surplus to gain muscle mass, you usually gain a little body fat if rapidly gaining muscle mass. I'd personally suggest trying to lose body fat first then concentrate on gaining muscle mass but you can do it the opposite way round too. I just hate undoing too much of my hard work trying to do it that way |

I think it's about 45 mins of cardio then you start breaking down muscle. But I'm not 100% sure. |

45 mins of cardio and the medic would have to come pick my ass up out the gym for resus.
The whole reason I chose to play rugby was you get more time gathering your breath back than in football |

Its not insanely difficult nor is it virtually impossible to cut fat and build muscle mass. You do however need to do your research, eat clean, manage your macros train, rest, rinse and repeat.
Be patient and the results come. |

The 'pump' is just the muscle filling with oxygen-rich blood during your workout which is why the muscle soon shrinks post workout.
Actual muscle growth takes place away from the gym and is a combination of good nutrition and rest although it is of course initiated by the gym/exercise.
Twice daily workouts is complete overkill. Unless your some sort of pro athlete. |

A lot depends on your body type. Some people find it almost impossible to bulk up. Are you determined to put on muscle mass or do you want to be fitter, stronger, better toned?
Decide what you want and talk to a personal trainer or more experienced people at your gym. Most of all be patient and don't try lifting weights that you struggle with. Slow and steady. |
