Adaptions

OK so we all know it is extremely rare for a book to movie adaption to ever truely be good. There are a few rare exceptions that despite the changes made still end up doing the source material justice when handle correctly.

TV shows with now much larger budgets are starting to be slightly better at adapting.

Unfortunately hidden agendas and studio interference often changes things for the worst. Which is quite a shame because so many good stories end up reaching such small audiences when limited to just their source material medium.

So, just assume that the result would be a perfect adaption, what book, story, play, game etc would you like to see turned in to a movie or TV show.

For me The Last of Us, has an amazing story and tone that would be amazing to see live action.

I could list lots more, but what do you have on your list?

I think Peter Jackson did Lord of the rings justice.

The Irishman is much better than the book its based on which is called I hear you paint houses

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I never think of books as perfect for adaptation if I have enjoyed them. Some things have been adapted well (The Handmaid's Tale) but I'm nervous watching them.

I think Peter Jackson shit all over Lord of the Rings, I'd like to see it remade again.

I'd also like to see Ankh Morpork and the Discworld Universe come into light with a long running, high budget TV Series.

Finally I'd have the Marvel Cinematic Universe restarted and taken back to World War 2 era. Mutants included. Film and TV.

I like this...love to let my imagination rule and there's something about the feel of a book
