.. I'm usually well into it but can't seem to find the spirit this year. Maybe because the country is going to rack and ruin!

Glasgowish

The horrid wind and rain hardly sets the mood for Xmas. Travelled 30 miles yestersay to visit Edinburgh Christmas market only to discover they were all shut down for the day due to the weather.

We don’t do Christmas, far to commercialised and the meaning of it has been lost

".. I'm usually well into it but can't seem to find the spirit this year. Maybe because the country is going to rack and ruin! "

I've not had the Christmas spirit for years now, I hardly bother with it, for me it's a couple of days off work with family and some nice food and drink and some laughs.

I think if there's no children around you (the case for me) then it loses its appeal.

If you want to find your Xmas mojo have you tried things like singing along with the songs on the radio, or putting up a tree?

At work today I saw a whole bunch of 5-6 year old children posting their letters to Santa, it was sweet all the squealing they were making.

In the middle

I haven’t been in the mood for years, my sons are well into their 20’s and Christmas was never the same after they grew out of the wonder of it all

You need the Christmas Movie channel in your life. It’s hard not to have a fleeting feel of sleigh bells in your soul when you have that much sentimental Christmassy cheese at your fingertips.

The Holiday makes me feel Christmassy, plus Jude Law is in it and he can fill my stockings anyday!

Nope. Not Christmassy but I guess the fortnight I get off work may sway me.

Not feeling it this year at all, think the fun has gone from it and its become a chore more than anything exciting.

On Christmas eve if you buy a set of gloves, hat, or scarf to give to one homeless man. The spirit of Christmas will be you.

Just cannot be bothered with it all. Plus, I’m working 16 hours on Christmas Day.

I'm not feeling it either, and haven't truly for two or three years now.

I used to love it, and got excited the moment I saw the decorations in the shops and garden centres, but even though I've out the tree and countless other festive junk up around the house it's just not doing anything.

Can't even think of anything to get anyone, and have even less desire to go out and look.

While I'll appreciate the time off work, in some respects I can't wait for it all to be over and we can return to normal

Despite my festive pic I’m struggling to get into it! It’s my first Xmas since leaving my husband earlier this year and it’s going to be very strange. We really celebrated Xmas but I just don’t feel I can this year. Will make it special still for the kids but I’ll have a very empty stocking this year!
