Why do food manufacturers insist on putting the words, OMEGA 3 or WHITEFISH on boxes of fish cakes, fish fingers or Admiral's pie?
Can they not be honest with us and put the word POLLOCK on the front of the box?
COD, HADDOCK, PLAICE, SCAMPI etc are there in BIG lettering on the front of the box.
They don't hide those fish breeds at the back of the packaging do they?
Could it be, that they don't want shoppers to know that they are getting an inferior fish for tea?
Whoever went into a chippy or restaurant and asked for pollock? Nope not me?
Mackerel is far superior and needs to be available in more chip shops. I only know one that does...mmm! |
