Share your Christmas stories of mean presents received or given, measly dinners and general scroogey bad spirit.
Mine were one Xmas spent at my sister's, where among other mean things she counted and commentated sarcastically on every Quality Street her relatives ate.
Or the present from an aunt that was originally a 45 record given free on the front cover of a magazine |

My Dad died 4 years ago on 15th December, his funeral was on 23rd December. He lived in the Lake District and so we drove back home on Christmas Eve. We had not had time to plan any Christmas dinner so it was foraged from the freezer, slimming world meatballs. I dislike this time of year very much. |

"I had a T shirt that still had the summer sale price ticket on it. It didn’t fit. I didn’t like the pattern, texture or colour. I used it to clean the car wheels. "
Quite right. |

My mum went into hospital one Xmas day but was discharged within a few hours .
We had the turkey in and rushed to get the spuds cooked. No idea which variety but they wouldn't soften when cooked. Boiled, in oven, eventual tossed for ages in the wok!
