Its coming to that time of year, when the sun is shining, it will get warmer, the garden furniture comes out and its time for the summer reads to get underway - the Bonkbusters.
I only tend to read these type of novels in the summer months or whilst lying on a beach and I love em.
Ok they are not in the least bit intellectual and one could never describe them as a 'classic', they all have similar storylines, but they transport me to a world of luxury, fashion, Hollywood, designer clothing, penthouses in New York City, mansions in the Hollywood hills, remote caribbean islands - and of course not forgetting the lashings of sex.
Back in the 80s Jackie Collins rocked, I remember reading the Lace Novel, Judith Krantz. Now of course we have the likes of Tasmina Perry, Tilly Bagshawe, Leonie Fox, Jo Rees, Rebecca Chance etc etc.
Do you ever indulge in these kind of novels or do you always have to reach for something more intellectually stimulating
