Just wondering what the concensus is around what body type you have and how you describe it. The reason I ask is the list goes from Athletic, slim, average, curvy, ample, large, fabulous. Some people use fabulous to mean they have stunning figures when I understand it is for the larger of ladies? Ample sometimes gets used to describe ladies with a large bust and so on...

I suppose this is very personal OP. I mean it’s a range. So where does slim stop and average start, etc? That’s the beauty of being able to ask for pics. And for your own profile? Choose the words you’re most comfortable with |

I don’t think body type description always matched the person. I describe myself as curvy others describe me in other ways. As long as we have recent pics that show us how we are then that’s good enough x |

The arguments about body type, how we describe ourselves, what others think we should be using etc etc rumble on. As has been said pictures will help other people !make their mind up about whether they find you attractive and I think we should all just describe ourselves how we want.

"I’m definitely in the Dadbod category but working on changing that!"
Oh they should have that as a catagory. Half the men here would use it, me included! |

I both identify as and look Athletic. I'm not fussed about what body type women claim to be though. I prefer to make up my mind when I see them in person (pictures can lie). Some people just wear their bodies a lot better than others. |

"I tick fabulous as I’d probably fit in the super sized BBW camp.
I’m an unashamedly fat lass. Ticks some people’s boxes and not others. All good x "
I tick fabulous and I weigh about 60kg. Its all down to the individual and in !y opinion we're both fabulous! |

... I mean, I could change my description to slim right this second. It only means I've ticked that box. I'm definitely not slim, and I'm not going to. But my dress size is below the UK average...
It's whatever the user decides to pick, no more. |

I go from slim to average. A more accurate desciption would be: formerly very athletic (runners body, very toned), now carrying a little weight around the tum but not quite a dad bod. But they don't have that in the list - wonder why not? |

I honestly had no idea what I was described as on our profile until I just looked.
B thinks I'm athletic, that's probably because I can piggy back him around which means I must have a decent amount of strength. I think I'm getting more like a weeble on a weekly basis so it probably could do with being changed.

I assumed the descriptions on fab were in size order so ample is bigger than curvy, and fabulous is bigger than ample!
I was ample, but then my fb said he thought I was “curvy” so I change it.
I include my dress size on my profile and a full body picture in my friends pics so that people have a good idea of how big I am. I’m curvy but I’m also definitely fat - and I agree with others than curvy doesn’t always equal fat.
They’re confusing terms!
I think the best way is to have honest photos! |

Think on fab the definitions of people's body shape varies as much the people themselves. One person's average is another's curvy. To be honest I don't look at what they've classed themselves and have a look at the photos, for research purposes only obviously |

Very good question. A persons self-image can often bear no relationship to their actual size, hence some eating disorders etc. I've seen one local girl in the supermarket I recognised from here - she describes herself as average, while realistically she could easily be mistaken to be kin to the Stay Puft marshmallow man from Ghostbusters.
And there are quite a few out and out lies too.
I'd like to see a category for "scrawny with saggy bits" which would be a fair description for me

Also, I find the 'athletic' description confusing. The British female shot putter, competing in the World Athletics Championships this year came 9th so she's very much an athlete but she's also very much a BBW! |
