A mate of mine has a bar job in a lap dancing club.
One of hi duties is to record the number of dances the girls do, the club gets some of the cash per dance.
One of the girls earned 800 quid on the night.
I wonder what if anything is taxed . . .  |

they should be self employed.
and they should do a tax assesment i know this as my mate is a lap dancer and i do all her tax returns |

The tax they pay will be the correct amount according to the 'income' they submit.

i new a girl ,who worked in a club ,where i wont say,and she used to boast in a good week £1000. earnings, some weeks were poorer,i dont no how this works with the club oweners wheather they pay PAYE or the girls are liable for there own,the later i would imagine,however it aford her 4 5 realy good hols a year to the south of france and the like and she had a smart flat and car ,and i am led to believe she now lives in her own place on the french spanish border,making silk ladies stuff too pass the time ,good living if you can get it she will only be in her late 40 now |

Lots of people who get paid in cash are a little economic with the truth when it comes to declaring earnings. I doubt that lap dancers are any different. Especially with the cash that may be stuffed in their knickers  |

I don't think anyone working in the sex industry should be liable for tax. Your body is the one thing you truly own in this world and if someone wants to make a living exploiting it then they should keep all the profits.
How hypocritical is it of the govt to criticise people who make a living with their bodies and then demand a % of the profits from it.
(specifically sex workers, not sports people). |
