Took this little fella away from a dog yesterday. Still alive and seemingly unharmed despite his ordeal but clearly underweight so of to the wildlife rescue centre i went. |

If you do come across one they should be the size and weight of a grapefruit, less than this and they may not survive the winter. I later found out the weight should be 500g, this little chap was 215g. |

So now you know what weight they need to be in winter and that dogs are a menace to them so always be aware of what your dogs are doing when you're out walking them.
Also, most of you probably know that hedgehogs are lactose intolerant (you'd be surprised how many still don't) so the traditional bread and milk is a big no no. They're carnivores so if you want to feed them they're particularly partial to cat food. |
