Say hi to someone you don't know?

Cycling in to work this morning, a car pulled up next to me at a set of traffic lights, when the lights changed the driver (a women) beeped and waved at me, I waved back (just to be polite) but didn't recognize the women driving. She had gone out of site but had turned at a junction and was now approaching me on the other side of the road, before she turned off down another road she beeped again and waved at me, again, I wave back but for the life I can't think who it was, she must have known who I was to let on first at such close proximity.

Anybody else just waved to some one without even thinking if they know them or not?

last time it happened to me the person tooted & was waving away at me, i waved back then realised it was someone behind me they were waving at

remember stopping once when I thought the police women was flagging me down, I didn't see the patrol car behind me.

Some years agao...well ok lots of um..

I was with a friend after doing shopping, got the kids etc and waiting for a taxi.

When this woman came up and huggrd me saying how fantastic it was to see me again....chat chat chat...she never stopped bieng so chuffed at seeing me...

Then a car pulls up and she shouts "look who i have found" and then he starts waving and shouting , She thn gets in to said car...both waving goodbye....

And me mate says."who was that then?" and i says " i aint got a fucking clue" ???

And to this day i dont ???

yea i said hi 2 the guy sitting next 2 me last thurs..he was in his car sitting next 2 me at the traiffic lights..i smiled an ask if he would like a love heart(sweet) lol he just laughted

Happens all the time. I meet a lot of people during work and can't possibly remember everyone.

Last time I was in the pub with some friends and a slightly d*unk women says hello to me. Now I'm thinking is this my animal magnetism or does she know me. I must have had that blank expression on my face because she says 'You don't remember me do you?'.

What do you say next? Admit it or bluff away?
