Boring post - sorry!!

I am off work today with the worsttttt cold I’ve had in a long time. I’m so bunged up and also on the feverish side.

Can’t bring myself to go out to get some medication (taking paracetamol though).

Any home remedies you’d recommend?????

I swear by hot Manuka honey, fresh ginger, and lemon.

And then an incredibly hot (chillitastic) Tom Yum Gai soup.

Steam is the easiest way to clear your nose. (Old fashion towel over your head, with your head over hot water) Keep warm, fluids fluids fluids and rest.

Turmeric, ginger, lemon, honey and hot water.

Then when you’re on the mend try and and drink some echinacea tea- it’s good for building immune systems

A hot toddy.

A nice whisky or brandy or even rum depending on preference in large quantities with some honey and lemon juice and lemonade, and heated.

Wash your paracetamol down with a large slug of whisky. Always works for me!

The steam is a good suggestion. And I hit the herbal teas with honey.

And inhale Vicks / Olbas oil.

I'm sorry to hear you have a cold, I'm getting rid of mine. I take Manuka honey and lime juice in hot water, you can add brandy or whiskey if you like, it really does relieve symptoms. Best wishes. x

Honey (soothes cough)

Half a lemon - juiced (boosts immune system)

A few cloves (cough suppressant/breaks fever)

A cinnamon stick (breaks up congestion/fever)

A tot scotch/brandy (antibacterial/thins mucus)

Top up with boiling water

Drink regularly.

Vicks vapour rub under both feet at night preferably" & put socks on. The Vicks draws up through the feet and helps with the congestion.

True story it definitely works x

I always have hot lemonade with brandy...2xparacetamols and sausage roll in the duvet...usually ive sweated out the worst by morning also use holbas oil for congestion or eucalyptus oil in a burner...never suffered beyond a couple days doing this for a cold.
