I’m more a carol concert on Xmas Eve to get me going. Will be tuning in to the Kings College Choir this year to get some Xmas feels.

I always listen to the carols from King’s on Christmas Eve on the radio. It starts Christmas properly for me.

I have 2, i really can choose.

First.

Chris rea - driving home for christmas

-reason, when i worked away this always came on as i was driving back from london up the m1... used to make me sink into my seat, move into the 'slow' lane and sip my hot chocolate

Second.

The pogues - fairytail of new york

-Reason, it reminds me of christmas eve in my village local, open fire, whiskey surrounded by family the whole pub singing at the top of our voices..

That doesn’t surprise me in the slightest. I can just imagine you singing the Kirsty MacColl part.

My favourite too

truth be known.... ii think the lounge is full of fluff... and i am not really a "fluff filled" person unless something happened that was semi interesting! I don't do fluff for the sake of fluff......

that reminds will... will have to tell you all about the arguement i am having with "apple music" regarding a song that is in the "70's essentials" that i could have sworn was 80's!!!

i live a mundane life full of small moral victories....

Driving Home For Christmas. Chris Rea. Always makes me feel emotional. It reminds me of when I had finished work for Christmas and I was driving home to be with my children .... just makes my heart swell with love for them....
