Do you keep any physical mementos of your special meets? Perhaps a train ticket from THAT journey or her lipstick print on your collar to never be washed again? ok.. maybe not thaaat far. Or maybe yes!
Do you gift your friends with little tokens of appreciation? Something to be remembered by?

I once had a FWB who our thing was a roll of lifesavers on the car window since we worked not to far from each other as the "signal". It was just our game with each other.
Life happened, but the last thing I gave him was that and a little note attached to it. I still have his last pack somewhere I'm sure.

Not really on here as it tends to be more casual . Though I have taken a gift in the past.
If I was seeing someone romantically then yes I probably would.
I'm quite corny in that respect.

"Maybe a train ticket or the reciet from a first social meet but i haven't met anyone yet sadly. Hopefully one day."
That would be nice indeed! Fingers crossed for you. |

"no, we don't.
I think possibly that single people have a slightly different approach."

Yes i was wondering if it would have been seen as a step into 'romantic' direction? But it doesn't have to be. Just a kind gesture. Or something to laugh about days or weeks later. |

"A small photo, I don't remember how it was produced -some macj I guess -from a long weekend together in New York with someone special.
Otherwise nothing. "
Smallest treasures are best. And what a special souvenir to cherish. |

Yes I do. I'm probably a bit odd but I like baking for people I like so I've made brownies and cakes before. The last date I still have the gig stub from and a little bar napkin with a daft hastily scrolled message on. |

"No, I just enjoy the memories
Those won't be lost or can't be taken away!
Precisely or shared except between you and them "
Well said! I relish of the memories... but no physical items |

I'm always picking up bits and pieces for friends (platonic or otherwise) or partners - I love gift-giving.
For flings or more casual hook ups I sometimes dress up (or down!) and take 'more special than a selfie' photos, and appreciate receiving well thought out ones too. |
