It doesn't put me off. I don't think it's a bad thing though if you decide that person isn't for you. I'm quite fond of a confident man, it definitely attracts me. |

The thing with shy it is not always down to actual confidence. A lot of the most outgoing people on the surface are in fact some of the most shy.
A great deal of being shy is down to how another person treats you. You need to allow them to feel at ease more than having to coax them out. There is a big difference. |

Yes. Given the choice id not choose someone who said they were "shy" between 2 otherwise identical profiles.
People saying "shy" and confident are different are partly correct imo - im confident in most aspects of life but possibly less so with women. This is less to do with shyness than it is fear of fucking up though!!!
Also - some people say "shy" when they mean something else. Genuinely shy people unlikely to be on this site with intentions to meet |

I guess past a certain age I have learned what is right for me. Work requires coaxing people out of their shells. I have endless patience for that. Perhaps this informs my playtime and makes me want boldness to rev me up instead. |

I find it endearing in a woman but could see how it might me a turn off in a guy, just like confidence in a guy seems to be very attractive.
Last meet i had, she was very shy and described herself as very socially awkward before the meet.
She was indeed shy but Im not pushy and I found she was quite comfortable to chat and very forthcoming in bed. I messaged her later to say I didn't find her awkward at all.
I think there are so many dynamic factors in a meet that it's a real challenge to hold an air of confidence. I certainly get tongue-tied at times lol |
