Can single people be swingers?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Although I attend swingers clubs and parties etc and have played with men, women, couples and other TVs I got told by a couple the other day that it was wrong to class myself as a swinger as true swinging is something for couples only.
Just got me thinking. What is swinging? What defines a swinger? And can single people be swingers? |

I had a think about this and for me it boils down to wether single people would still swing if they got into a relationship.
So yes and no.
Some are swingers (with a different relationship status) and some are just shaggers |

"I'm single so therefore I don't class myself as a swinger
But why not? What is swinging? for me swinging is about swooping partners , maybe that's wrong but it's how I see it "
Ah I see, yes makes sense |

I'm single and yes I do.
Other people have different definitions of the word, some couples will try and tell you that you 'can't be' because you don't fit with their personal definition. I think that swinging is a mindset as much as anything else.
I think that people try to make specific things more exclusive all the time in an effort to feel more special when they do it. Really it's their issue, not yours. |

Just another label, and the only thing that's clear is that people have different definitions of what constitutes 'swinging'. For example I'm on here because it is implied that you are not looking for a long term relationship, otherwise I'd just use a TV dating site. |

I've never thought of myself as a swinger. My bf and I play here as an extension of our Ds dynamic and as a single I'm just a chick who likes men and hates dating. |

Yes this! I'm a solo swinger at the moment (swingle?), and my relationship preference is to swing together. |

Yes, but it isn't compulsory though singles who only meet singles are close to borderline between every normal human being and swinger. |

Can single people be swingers ? If a couple want to swap with another couple then the answer is no.If a couple are looking for a guy or girl to experiment / experience a scenario , fantasy , tick something of the bucket list then yes single guys and girls can be swingers.Should single people who want to experience something be called something else I have seen the word swingle today on this thread. So what am I swinger , swingle , FWB , friend well I am a single guy looking to meet couples or single ladies for social , friends or adult fun. I let others decide if they want to attach a label. |

I think swinging is anyone who enjoys sex with multiple people either one on one or in a group.
I love it when couples say singles can't be swingers, especially when most couples are looking for singles. Surely if they are having sex with a non swinger, it's no longer swinging? |

So in conclusion they ARE labelled a swinger when it suits the couple? I think you’ve nailed it! |

Pretty much, some couples have a real bee in their bonnet over how swinging is just for them even while they are hunting singles. |

I think it's the guilt. They need to call it Swinging because they feel bad about fucking around.
Other swinging couples are great. They are secure and don't need to look down on people. |

Yep. I know a fair few really nice couples who embrace singles on the scene. |

If you are single and only meet other single people, maybe you aren't a 'swinger'.
But if you are single and playing with a couple, maybe you are.
The reverse is asking whether couples who only meet single people (unicorns, or BBC etc) are swingers, because they are not swapping either.
If you want to draw a line, maybe it's about sharing? |

I see it as more of a lifestyle choice...one which I'm fully onboard with, both in and out of a relationship. So yes, I would class myself as a swinger even though I'm not currently in a relationship. |

If you're stuck in the 1960's then no.
If you've joined the rest of the world in the next milennium, we've updated the T&C's to be more inclusive.
I've even seen some couples claim that singles can be classed as swingers if they're allowed to play with a swinging couple...which was awfully nice of them to be so fucking gracious! |

This is a swingers site and it has an option for selecting if you are single or not. I originally thought of swinging as something couples did but since using Fabswingers I now class myself as a swinger, I think |

Technically to swing means you have to swap isn’t it? So that involves more than one person.....but lots of singletons together at clubs you wouldn’t know if they was single or part of a couple x |
