Do you all find yourselves feeling vulnerable whilst being unwell.
I have the mother of all chest infections and just feel sad and lonely tonight.
What do you do when you’re feeling that way? |

"Go to ma doctors and eat soup for a few days.
Oh, and I bug everyone I know with meaningless texts "
On antibiotics, and my friends are either out or in bed.
Selfish buggers |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I hope you feel better soon, OP.
When you're ill you are low. Embrace it, for a while; you'll be forgiven.
I like to have a really long, hot shower, get into something comfy (like bed) and have the TV, radio, book and a magazine to hand and just ignore the world.

I watch netflix, lots of baths/steam, complaining, a good couple of crying bouts, as usual a trip to the store for cough drops and juice, interrupted sleep with hot and cold sweats as the fever goes back and forth, and the great pick up of snotty kleenexes and crying again because I ate the rest of my chicken noodle soup usually helps me to get through these things.
Hugs!! I say this all with a big heart, being sick sucks. It's ok to feel like shit. |

Moan away. It's your thread.
No one knows if you're crying in the shower. Try not to cry in bed. It needs to remain a safe, comfy zone.

Yes agreed.
Currently doing a double nebuliser in bed, brittle asthma and chest infections don’t go well together.
Looking forward to seeing a brighter day tomorrow |

I get very tearful when unwell, mainly because in my family i’m the one who generally takes care of everyone, and i feel a bit like i’m shirking my responsibilities!
Hope you feel better soon OP, there’s nothing wrong with having a bit of a cry if you need one. Be kind to yourself and know that tomorrow is another day and hopefully it will be a better one.

Hope you get well soon. I've had similar, first symptoms of sore throat about 4 months ago, full on chest infection for the last two months, just clearing up now. Doc said that mine was viral, so antibiotics no good, have just had to ride it out.
They say that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, but i am wondering when the stronger bit is going to kick in... |

I feel vulnerable around the time of menstruation. Have to remind myself it'll pass. |

I found that big chunks of a lemon in boiling water with a couple of spoons of honey made a very soothing drink.
The other good drink was hot chocolate with a big slurp of either cognac or whisky added. |
