Mine's set to 10, but as the boiler is in an outbuilding, there is a frost thermostat in the building, which overrides the one in the house to prevent the pipes freezing. I think that one is faulty, though, as it is set to kick in when the temperature drops to -5, it is +5 here and my heating is on. The only way to turn it off is to turn the heating circuit off at the fuse board. The system is being serviced in the next week or so, so hopefully that'll be fixed.

Dunno Clem, my mum has the thermostat controls on her phone and the power has gone to her head. It’s like the bloody tropics in here currently and all i can hear is my mum muttering “there’s a bloody draught coming from somewhere” as the catflap rattles away in the background |

"I don’t have one. If it’s good wood going into the wood burner it’s warm, if it’s not so good wood it’s not so warm. "
Same as above post. Although I am sending the temperatures dropping, so will throw another log in shortly |

I whack mine up at maximum which is around 30 . And then still sit under a blanket - I'm always cold. But I don't like the heating on at night so I turn it off then |

"All these people setting it on odd numbers "
I had an interview a few years ago...the lead panel member got off the seat mid way and changed the heater setting from an odd number to even......clearly she was more concerned about the setting than my answers to their damn competency based questions...... |

Currently got the patio door open. Can't be arsed constantly opening and closing it to let the dogs in and out. No point putting the heating on to add a minute amount of heat to the great outdoors. |
