Have you considered, how many 'simple questions' that person gets asked everyday?
That by replying they would be leaving themselves open for more messages, by deleting they open themselves up for abuse.
If this person has no interest you, they've done what is exactly right for them, blocking you to prevent further contact

We have been blocked by couples who we have never chatted to and live hundreds of miles away so don’t know us so it can be a bit strange on here, no point wondering why or worrying about it, forget and move on |

It used to bother me at one time as I try to be polite and respectful with everyone. I've now stopped worrying about it as everyone has their reasons . It can be a little embarrassing in the club's. If you have blocked someone for no reason and they are trying to find each other only to see they are no their blocked list. Yes I've actually seen this happen ..It was so funny |

I hate them opening messages ... why do you feel you need to ask? Only thing that jumps straight into my mind is it's an inappropriate question or you would have just messaged what you wanted straight away ... so yes them messages I would instantly block to safeguarded against any escalation of abuse. |

Honestly, OP, don't take it personally.
We have blocked people who are just not right for us. Saves us or them wasting each other's time.
It doesn't necessarily mean you're pig ugly, an awful person or anything like that. Just not what we're looking for.

I’ll happily block a profile if it’s clear that I’m not what they want, or if their profile is arrogant or stuck up. Saves the time messaging them or reminds them that they are not all that. |

I've blocked people I would cross the road to avoid. = My gain..
