Antidepressants and ejaculation

Think I will have to go back on these soon as my mental health is crap. Used to take setraline but I couldn't finish the job for love nor money. If I take them again I will basically have to be celibate. Can anyone suggest an antidepressant that doesn't have this effect ie a non SSRI as the orgasm/serotonin reuptake thing seems to be linked? |

Speak to your doctor.
There are anti depressants that have less sexual side effects but you shouldn’t get medical advice on a forum like this. |

Different drugs have different effects on different people. Just because it doesn't have that effect on person A will mean you are the same in your response to it.
I tried a few and they all had that effect. |

"I found Citalopram a bit crap. You could have given me a million quid, or cut my arm off, i wouldn't have cared much either way. Glad to be off them."
I was the same, very flat emotions and sexual side effects, and what 24 year old doesn't want to be able to drink with his friends? It got me out of the hole I was in at that point in my life (OCD, depression and anxiety built up since my teens and exacerbated by a "party lifestyle") but after nearly a year of it I went against the psychiatrists advice and came off it, from there I learned to deal with my issues head on and have been mostly fine since. |

I’m on setraline. Took me a good 6-10 months before I could cum after I started taking them.
I mean I could orgasm after a month of taking them, but there was no “bang” so to speak.
My other half (and a few other ladies at the time) loved it as it meant that my stamina increased dramatically, but it was slightly... frustrating.
Still taking it now. Generally have no issues now. Still have off days but that’s life I guess |

I did use that for a while after I stopped the Citalopram, can't remember why I stopped in the end but an action packed lifestyle and doing plenty of exercise seems to keep my head above the water now |
