I wouldn't want all the bedding with night sweats. I often star fish and move around seeking the cooler parts of the sheet |

There are sooooo many silver linings to my single life
Big bed
Remote control
Never doing a mans ironing
Never picking up crap after a man
Never listening to whingeing
Never having to massage their ego
Never having to “ discuss” purchases
Doing what I want when I want !!!!
I bloody love it
Spose it could apply to a single fella as well.... but has any man ever picked up after a woman ?!?!?!

I used to work in new York in a bank. The person sitting next to me who used to work in the world trade center office received a parking citation and had to take the morning off on 9/11 to go pay it. |

the NHS is good but it's a postcode lottery sadly. There are hospitals that do not follow guidance (NICE, BIA, NHS website) and hospitals that do. |

I can see why you would say that but 'every cloud has a silver lining' isn't a promise - it is a wise hint to you to try and find the positive in every situation as a way to be a happier person.
Happiness is a choice. It comes from within. You can have your car break down and view it as negative. Or you can try hard and smile and say 'at least I get to see the trees and do a little exercise' as the poster did. It's often hard to do but it's a good idea. |

Lol. My bottles of whisky are always emptier then they should be. . Although I usually drink single malt, I recently discovered that Whyte and Mackay blended is actually quite decent and well worth a try if you don't want to drain your best stuff. |

X308 shape? Back then I bought a new 1998 XJR
Was a lovely car but indeed drank fuel like the space shuttle. I liked it so much I bought a second one in 2014 to drive occasionally which I had for 4 years.
Cool thing was. I sold it for more than I paid for it. Nice one.  |

I can get 28mpg out of it onow a good run and it is sooo comfy. Plus the purr of a Straight Six is divine "
That's pretty good. Mine got 18mpg on a long run. Yes straight six engines are inherently better balanced than the V8 that came later in the X308. Strong body shell too. Was designed for the proposed American 40mph crash test at the time.
Now my eye is playing up fast cars look like history to me and I'm driving a diesel. Bit sad really.

Apparently the X300 was the safest car to be in to survive a big crash.
Another thing I like about it is other drivers give way to me a lot more or let me out in traffic compared to when I was in a Mondeo or even in my S-Type |

Yes.. I really noticed that too. Isn't that strange? Oh dear. You've gone and made me miss it again. I always liked the shape. I drive a Mercedes now and it's a better car in lots and lots of ways but... Doesn't have the same soul somehow.

It's called Jaguar XJ v Ford Sierra.
You will notice that after the crash the jag is still rolling forward whilst the Sierra is rolling backward.
The physics behind this means that the forces on the jag passengers are much lower and the forces on the Ford passengers devastatingly high.
Moral. Heavy cars are safer than light cars (everything else being equal). |
