Yesterday I really really wanted halloumi fries. However, when I nipped to Asda, all they had were mozzarella sticks! I bought them anyway and scoffed the lot, but with a heavy heart.
What crappy substitutes have dulled the sparkle in your eyes?

Buy the burger halloumi from aldi, it shouldn't have liquid in it. Then grab some beef fat or a smidge of oil and fry them on each side til golden and crispy. They taste way better than shop bought |

"Oh my
Asda you say ? *awaits onslaught of I never shop in Asda because of all the chavs*
Yes, Asda. It's my nearest shop. "
I shop anywhere I fancy. It tickles me when the open minded people of Fab judge people where they shop and what newspaper they read |

Don't go to Asda then. No halloumi fries there. |

I now have actual halloumi fries - and can confirm they are top notch!
Other crappy substitutes include: low fat supernoodles (why bother), smash (like a soupy puddle), and value clingfilm (no bloody value in that useless stuff!) |
