I think there's a variety of different reasons, for some they wouldn't get any attention if they posted as they really are so in order to get people to chat to them (possibly errotically) they pretend to be someone that they are not. For others maybe some sense of power of being able to create any persona they like.
Often they never intend to actually meet anybody so if it comes to arranging a meet they are a no show or just go quiet. |

Im the same. I don't understand why people make fake profiles .i know some people do it incase someone recognises them. But the ones I hate are when a guy makes up a couples profile. The wife is always sleeping and after a few texts he asks if you are on kik. |

Unsurprisingly and as a sad follow up to this subject, I have this very week exposed 3 people as fakes using the reverse picture search facility in Google via Kik. I say it again. I just don't understand why they do it! And there shock and repulsive responses are hilarious!! |
