I Have been asked to be on a bbc documentary (not swinging related!!) and all I can think about is the ‘cons’.

I’m well aware that I’m probably a lot like Marmite (both, on here and in real life)

I’ve said ‘NO’ for the fear of some folk selling (probably untrue) horrible nasty stories and being absolutely shredded on Social media.

Question: would you go on national TV be it as simple as ‘the chase’ or as wide as ‘I’m a celebrity’??

Ponder. Decide. Discuss.

Yes; in the line of my work. But not in terms of my personal life, no.

Personally, I wouldn't do it - again. My privacy is also part of my livelihood, although I have been on a Nat Geo documentary. I didn't use my real name, and I wasn't on the credits but it still got me some unwanted attention, but not a social media lynching.

No, I wouldn't even agree to a vox pop in the street.

Any sort of documentary is going to be edited to reflect the programme makers agenda and you only have to look at the lady who said "not another one" when told about a recent election to see how easily a vox pop can end up.

Personally no, I hate being photographed or filmed have told all my friends to never post my photo on social media let alone be broadcast.

But if it is for something you believe in be that cause or cash, or you enjoy being recognised then maybe, just be careful that your answers refer to the question enough not to be edited against you.

I've done two programmes on Japanese history for Yesterday TV, although you'd never recognise me because of the costume I was wearing. (Both available on youtube)

That was great fun.

I've been chosen for First Dates and First Dates Hotel, but had to decline them both.

I'll probably apply again next year once I've moved house.

We're in a documentary with Big Narstie, but we did warn the producer in advance, that if they make it a, "come look at the loonies" programme, we'd go to their office and smash it up.

As it turned out, the whole experience was pretty good.

I was in a ‘blind date’ type snow 40 years ago, I don’t regret it, it was well before social media. I’d not do TV for personal stuff but definitely for professional reasons. Who knows where it can’t lead?! Saves doing hours of vlogging to get your name, face and USP out there

It worked for Amanda Holden and a couple of others who's names escape me.

I could do that. Want to co host? You could wear a mask like The Stig if you're scared of being recognised

Yes but we can’t tell them that you usually have to eat my leftovers. I don’t want to look like a proper fanny.

Wouldn’t do it K. Did it once before when I was younger but not know. Not in this day and age. Too many people out there love to make peoples lives a misery. I have a private life and I’d like to keep it that way.

You made the right decision I think
