Be it home recipe or shop bought, it is fast approaching the season of the mince pie.
Do you like them? Do you have baking tips for creating awesome tasting mince pies? Which shop bought ones are the best? |

I make my own mincemeat using a traditional recipe that has minced beef in it. It's no where near as sweet and sickly as jarred mincemeat or shop mince pies and I use a sweet shortcrust pastry recipe. My mince pies have converted people who thought they hated mince pies. |

We’ve eaten approximately eleventy billion in our house this year already.
If we make them we use a bbc recipe which you can find by googling ‘unbelievably easy mince pies) |

Yessss! I love Mince pies so much! They are my favourite pie. I make my own sometimes but if we buy them I like the ones with icing on the top.
One Christmas we bought an extra 90 mince pies on Dec_mber 27 and I ate 60 of them. |

"Take the lid off. Put a slice of stilton cheese in and grill or microwave until melted then put the lid back on. Only way to eat a mince pie"
That's a bit like cheese on an eccles cake. Which is a delight |

We like mince pies but being wheat, gluten, egg and dairy free we have to make them ourselves which is a bit of an effort working and being a parent. I will be baking some soon though |

Asda are doing mince pie cookies which are absolutely delicious. "

I have three choices then:
1. Accept she won't like them.
2. Try to persuade her myself on the basis that somebody else who doesn't like raisins does like mince pies.
3. Send her down to Horsham and let you try to persuade her.
Which should I go for? |
