Which do you prefer? I like the Simon and Garfunkelet version but considering the lyrics I always thought it a bit light and fluffy musically..personally prefer Disturbed darker version as the sound equates to the lyrics..what about you?

The original will always be the best, the disturbed version is good and the duet that Disturbed did with Miles Kennedy (alter bridge) in Houston is rather excellent as it was written as a duet and the two voices do work really well together. It's on you tube and well worth a listen

margate sumwear by the sea

I just take a quiet walk on the coast.

It's silent apart from the sound of the see crashing on the sand and the sound of the local wildlife.

I enjoy the cover version but prefer the original. I've always thought it could be rocked up a touch, like give that guitar some distortion. Do Metallica do a version?

I love them both, but play the disturbed one more. And louder!

Randomly, Alan walker uses his vocals in the sound of loneliness.

Myles is very good, but can get a little whiney for my taste, I'm much more of a Corey Taylor kinda gal..

My Own Little World

I much prefer Disturbed version, it is on my Favourites play list. Draiman does get a bit shouty towards the end though which spoils it a little for me.

My current fav cover is The Chain by Evanescence, love it.

Disturbed. Was never really a fan of the original.

The original is the best in my view. Like some have said, it's designed to be a duet and the rock version, although good, does get a bit too shouty in the end.

I love the Disturbed version, and Mr Kennedys voice does strange things to me

All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest

Nothing beats the original. The brilliance of that duo is something today's music hasn't a prayer of matching

Think it's truly the song where the cover sounds better than the original

Agreed. I play it as loud as my system will let me and it hits me in the soul. Goosebumps, and sometimes a dose of anguish

I’m a Disturbed fan, and it is a great version, but I’ve got a little bored of hearing this now so I’ll go with the original.

Disturbed version was Radio 2 record of the week, I would think that’s a first for Metal
