Dont think there any male strippers as wanted to do the same for my wife when we out there for her birthday early next year but la vie en proost or something like that is a strip club that let's couples enter if she's in to that. |

Just watched a little bit on TV suggesting Amsterdam has become a real tourist shit tip as too many people are going now and so they are having to deploy loads of police and wardens to stop fights, drug dealing and antisocial behaviour has anyone seen this side of Amsterdam. I want to take my wife and have a bit of a cultural break with a bit of fun and frolics on the side but can’t be dealing with what was basically a mass of people being dicks because there are sex shows, drink and a history of people going there to get stoned. |

I didnt see no trouble when I went there are dealers on street but all they so is say names of drugs as they walk past you a shake of the head or just ignoring them and they dont bother you there was police walking around the red light not that we seen many |

It's not really like that, or it wasn't when I was there. I've been on lads trips and eith the wife, never felt threatening. You'll always get the odd lairy group but that can happen anywhere, everyehere's a stag/hen town these days.
Leidesplein is quite a nice place for a stroll round. |

We are going there this weekend...first time there for both of us.
Getting another tattoo done whilst there. Be cool to wander around.

Thanks for the updates sorry for the hijack Op. planning on taking the wife around April/ May time anywhere we should definitely visit and anywhere to avoid? We are driving out there in my van so does anyone know of anywhere you can park and stay in your van out there? |

There a park and ride just outside amsterdam material in zeeburg also a campsite near that will let u park in the car park over night for free been living in holland for several months and not once had any bother in amsterdam all though would defo recommend the hague as an alternative to dam |

Struggle...there isnt as many strip clubs as youd think, not as we know them here...and amsterdam red light area looks more dangerous than it is...just use the same precautions as any other city, but most people in that area are stoned and ive never met an aggressive stoner!
Just ignore the people offering drugs...dont engage and they dont persist.
