Thought I’d ask your guys advice on something as you always give a honest answer.
I’m a separated parent and there is a younger woman who I’ve known for ages on the school run who I’ve always liked. Unfortunately her husband took his own life in January this year leaving her and two young children.
Recently we’ve been messaging and getting to know each other better. Txt messages became more suggestive over the weekend which I enjoyed but also felt really guilty about.
I apologised for sending them yesterday.
She has been more chilly towards me since shall we say?
Is it too early to get involved with someone after such a devastating event would you say? We make each other laugh and she tells me she takes each day as it comes. |

Suggestive messages don't necessarily mean she is interested in more but apologising for them has probably made her think you didn't mean it.
Take it slowly and build back up. If she is happy to move forward then it isn't too soon for you but be aware that it may be too soon for her and that might cause a reaction in her down the line. |

No it’s not too soon if she’s sending you suggestive messages! We all deal with loss in our own way and at our own pace. Don’t let her be the one that ‘got away’, start chatting with her again and why not ask her? |

I couldn’t tell you.
Your best bet is to maybe have a proper chat with her and see what she says.
But keep in mind that this will be her and her family’s first Christmas without their husband/dad so she is probably very aware of that, and won’t want (i’m guessing) the drama of a man who seems keen one minute and who backs off the next.

Face to face chat.
Text messages can be misinterpreted, tone can be wrongly assumed, intention not conveyed as intended.
Real words in the real world is the way forward here. |

There are a huge amount of variables in this situation, I agree talk to her but on the same side be prepared to just be what she wants you to be, which could potentially change on a daily basis, I wish you luck on this difficult journey |
