"I was thinking more big brand doughnuts/donuts. So that I can actually buy them without traveling the world "
The only branded ones I can get locally are Krispy Kreme. |

It has to be 'in the moment'. That comment made me do that or specifically word 'crave' set it off |

"Doughnuts are the bakery goods from hell. Nobody makes a good one
You do have a point, if it goes wrong they aren't great!"
I just don't like them.
My mum used to make them when I was a kid and we had great fun injecting the jam and rolling them in sugar. They were bloomin lovely but I wouldn't eat a doughnut nowadays. I'm more a Victoria sponge with jam and buttercream cream type of woman |

Pal if you wanting the greatest donut experience , get a flight to Portland Maine, Holy Donuts,
Forget everything you Think you know or have been told, nothing comes close to these guys, their shop never makes it to regular closing hours as they sell out ,
Now others here will claim this donut or that donut are the dogs Bollox which if they are a chain store I have tried, and they Don't come close,
Start by YouTube the Holy Donut Portland, then book your flight, |

The best doughnut I've ever had was a mahoosive one glazed with coffee icing and filled with a light and creamy coffee mousse that came from a shop in Dublin called Rolling Donut IIRC. It tasted wonderful, sweet and flavoursome, but not too sickly or greasy like I find a lot of doughnuts are. Nothing I've had before or since came close to that one, least of all tasteless, oily Krispy Kremes which are always dreadfully disappointing IMO despite sounding tempting. |

Need to fly you over here for a taste test,
Alright then and after taste test we can go grab a few donuts

There was a donut shop I went to in Fort lauderdale near the port it was called "R donuts". The ladies served them topless!
Apart from that I seem to rem_mber getting a few from "dunkin donuts" as well, they had a variety of flavours and coatings, particularly liked maple syrup and cinnamon. This was back in the mid 80s, I still have the coffee mug which was endless refills when you called in. Great times! |
