Saw some Pears body wash in tesco today and thought why not? I've just stepped out of the shower and it smells like the 70's. Lovely. What smells take you back?

Honeysuckle fragrance. I took honeysuckle shampoo and conditioner on my first holiday with my then to be husband. For some reason the smell reminds me of that holiday nearly 40 years ago.

Pipe tobacco.

It would remind me of my Grandad that smoked a pipe. I liked the smell of pipe tobacco.

I still like the faint smell of pipe or cigars. The smell you get sometimes when you visit a stately home with the mans library or study.

London

The scent of leaves on a currant bush. There was a large shrub in my childhood garden and its fragrance is evocative of running through the garden playing and knocking into it crumpling the leaves and releasing their fresh green perfume.

Carnations. Mum got given a fresh bunch every Saturday. I find it a very comforting scent.

The inside of an old classic car with worn leather seats.

Reminds me of the trips to my home town of Hereford with mum and dad as a child.
