Vegas isn’t that big so see all of it! I’d say 4 days is enough in Vegas. Depends what you like but worth doing the Grand Canyon although it’s a bit pricey.

Only been to Cancun in Mexico so not sure about that. Sounds like a brilliant thing to do though!

Mexico is a big country, what regions are you visiting?

I went to Vegas but just saw the fountains at the Bellagio, inside the Bellagio (beautiful) and the shopping precinct thing at Ceasars Palace (impressive if you like Designer stuff).

We then did a bus tour out to Oatman (amazing drive to get there) which is an oldy worldy little town like you see in the westerns but with shitloads of donkeys (burroughs) walking around.

Carole Lombard and Clark Cable were supposed to have honeymoon’d there, but having seen the honeymoon suite, i’d say that was unlikely.

Not been to Mexico (yet).

Enjoy!

I’d like to do great white shark diving also.

It would be in riviera maya in Mexico and wanna stay at the hard rock heaven hotel

Vegas will be for the experience and seeing all the sights that interest me.

Anything to watch out for in Vegas or mexico that could be dodgy

One end of Vegas isn’t so nice. You’ll know which end when you get there! Also expect the women of the night to approach you even if you’re with you’re partner, it’s apparently the norm which I found out luckily before I nearly knocked her block off!

If you're visiting there then Tulum is worth seeing, Mayan city on the coast ... and Xelha which is a river park area

If you don't mind sitting in a coach for 3 hours or so each way, Chichen Itza is definitely worth a visit

I heard mexico is very dangerous for a tourist to walk around alone or in a couple.

Worked in Mexico a few times, its pretty safe nothing worse than most other countries, if your driving I would advise against driving at night especially through rural areas.

If you are travelling across country just beware of kids doing the rope across the road, to force you to stop.

Make sure you have paper copies of all the necessary documents and insurance for Mexico.

Other than that its really ok.

Use Google to plan your route.

If you go to Mexico then the Pacific coast is better more the real Mexico than the tourist Mexico.

I’ll second these recommendation!

Check out Xceret as well, sister park to Xelha. Stay for the evening show and dinner if you can. Try and book through the hotel or tour operator. It can get a bit dodgy trying to go too indie. Cancun is worth a look for a day trip, boat excursion or water sports, but you are better off staying in Riviera Maya. The Hard Rock is a really good choice.

Vega is all dodgy, but some bits more than others. Like someone else said it’s pretty obvious which bits! The Rio is good value for money, Hard Rocks pretty good to. You pay a big premium to be on the strip. Save your money for more fun things

As much as I like NA, I'd spend most of my time in Mexico if I were you. You only need 2-3 days max in LV.

In Vegas, every hotel has a card for rewards. Use them. They get you free drinks to free night stays to free buffets all because they want you to play the casinos in there hotel.

In Mexico, just dont drive at night. I am usually in the los playas area but have been down to the maya region. The fishing is fantastic! And never leave Mexico without getting some real authentic Mexican vanilla for baking. You will love yourself for it.

Oh and you get free drinks in Vegas as long as you’re gambling. Even if it’s just the slot machines.

It never used to. Although I haven’t been for a while.

Over a decade ago since I went - I may be wrong though or it may vary between casinos?
