I hated titanic. Everyone else around bawling and im sitting there going wtf. Only thing that got me was the irish mother telling her little girl about the land of Tir na nOg as the ship was sinking. rest of it was balls. and romeo and juliet. any romance. romcom, bleh shit. Just blow some stuff up already and a few fast cars, tasty women and im happy.

Mine are songs.

I LOVE a love song, but Jennifer Rush’s “Power of Love” and Chicago’s “If you leave me now” get right on my tits.

I should've said that Ring of Bright Water is exempt because Virginia McKenna was hot and the otter dies rather than a person. So that actually is sad, but you get to console yourself with Virginia's nice tits bobbing about under an Arran sweater. Ooft!

The first thing that popped into my head when I saw the thread title was Marley & Me, and what was there in the first message? I'm with you all the way in that, OP. It was horrendous. Luke

I dislike the Chicago one because it's all about him. He wants her to make choices for her life because he'll be upset if she doesn't. What she wants doesn't really enter into it for him. That's just selfish. I hope she gave him a kick in the nadgers and walked off.

I hated Titanic too. It was an incredibly average, hackneyed cliché of a story just set against an amazing backdrop. It takes more than that to rescue a shit plot. Luke

Massive yes on Titanic, unwatchable pap. Completely agree on chick flicks and most musicals. They tend to make me ornery
