Heaven in the Midlands

Hi all. What does everyone do with their broken vibrators, sex toys etc? Don't know if the black bin is the best place for them.

If they vibrate you can send them to Lovehoney under their rabbit amnesty.

I've sent a lot of toys to them - they used to give loyalty points which was great but they've stopped doing that now.

My mum once saw a glass dildo and thought it was an ornament, she wanted to put it on the mantle piece

Take them to the local recycling centre run by the council. They have bins for small appliances.

I scared the crap out of myself last year. My boiler was making really funny noises. So I checked its settings and it had no emergency codes flashing. I flicked the reset button, but no change, it was still clacking away. So I turned it completely off at the power source.

The noise was still whirring, clacking. Then I realised it wasnt coming from the boiler but the bin underneath it. It dawned on me Id hurriedly thrown a broken vibrator in the bottom the day before. Apparently now not broken!

Relief at a non faulty boiler, embarrassment at my stupidity leaving batteries in the 'broken' vibrator.

Returned it in-store ... handed it over to the manager insisting it was a manufacturer's fault. I made her laugh; got a free upgrade

I don’t want to put them in the bin as will just end in landfill or wherever they dump it. There must be somewhere you can dispose of them safely

My local council will collect small electrical appliances with the recycling wheelie bin. Simply place them on top of the bin for collection...

Err..no thanks
