There was an item in the newspaper about an increase in deaths as a result of rough sex games. The defence used is they emulated stuff seen on porn.
Is pornography to blame for more ‘unusual’ sexual expectation or activity?
Whats vanilla to one is a wild kink to someone else....but has porn gone too far?
Do these incidents happen because ppl cant separate reality from fantasy or is it inexperience?

I think porn has led to a generation of sexually liberated folk, struggling to associate sex with emotional intimacy.
Yes I know, people harp on about it, but too much porn creates unrealistic expectations. Guilty as anyone, but o see it. |

The implication is more that domestic abusers or murderers are using it as an excuse to get off a premeditated murder charge ... a twist on the 'she was asking for it' defence
The woman isn't around to give her version!
Very nasty |

This man was found not guilty of murder. His girlfriend had 40 separate injuries, bleach sprayed in her face, broken eye socket. Jury went with the 'she liked it rough' defence

This is a worrying and increasing trend. A one off meet that 'goes wrong' will also drag up women's histories of enjoying anything other than missionary as evidence that it was her fault.
The proliferation of porn comes from people. We have to question why people are asking for more and others are happy to provide that. We've become de-sensitised.

Exactly what is top man has said. It’s unfortunate that the latest generation Will grow up in this. And I’ve seen this a good few times now but I still do have hope for this generation |

I think blaming porn is a bit of a cop out. However if we are part product of what we consume then their definitely is an argument for healthier porn. Which of course can be very kinky or extreme, healthier doesn't have to mean vanilla. By healthier porn I mean ethical porn that reinforces values of consent, respect, value and common human decency towards each other. Also it would be great were porn does involve more extreme acts to have a bit of focus on the safety measures and care considerations taken. For example in BDMS porn showing how regular checking in is occurring. Plus a bit more diversity and body positivity would be great too. Now there is an increasing market for such porn. But clearly the markets dictate to porn. And tastes dictate the market. So I think if we want more healthier porn we need to make a fairer and healthier society first. |

A tenfold increase in men using this as a defence in murder cases. Of course, the woman isn't alive to give her version. In the past, they'd have used the 'nagging wife - I was provoked' argument. Whatever bullshit they think a jury might fall for.
These men remind me of the bullshit fake doms out there as well. I was just reading a blog by CarolinesDungeon about a roleplay on Consent Violation. It might be a case of that gone too far in some cases as well. Really awful. Take care out there everyone xx

I feel sorry for the current and following generations, I think finding wank mags in the bushes and passing around school mates was a special time.
Young guys think every woman squirts and is happy to do anal these days, and its all about their satisfaction |

Yes. The awful thing is the press buy into it; they sensationalize and take great glee in exposing any hint of possible sexual deviance as if that's a plausible or logical explanation.
Do I think porn is responsible for the above? No. I do think porn has altered attitudes and mindsets towards various sexual acts - some in a positive, liberating way, others in a "this is the norm and the only way to treat/have sex with a person" sort of way. Media has also contributed to that though. |

We watch porn, neither of us are dead. It is however getting more difficult to find normal porn and there is more of the extreme end available which doesn’t interest us. |

" the internet is to blame it publicises minority groups and minority passtimes almost making them seem acceptable by virtue of the fact these things are being talked about even though in a very small community |
