Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

It was a car crash of an interview.

He says that at the time he couldn't sweat because of his time in the Falklands: picture editors quickly find photos of him sweaty and hands all over young women.

He is asked if Roberts is lying about meeting him: he doesn't say she is lying but says he doesn't understand her motivation.

Asked about Roberts' examples: he doesn't remember her because sex, for a man, is an 'active' process and you don't forget 'active' processes.

Asked about the photo of them together: it's impossible to work out if it has been faked as it's a photo of a photo. He doesn't remember it being taken and, anyway, it was taken upstairs at Maxwell's and he's never been upstairs and he's wearing travelling clothes, not what he would wear in London.

Asked about dancing and drinking at Tramps: I don't drink, I don't know where the bar is at Tramps and I couldn't have been there as I was at Pizza Express in Woking at 4-5pm with Beatrice.

Asked about seeing Epstein after his conviction: It would have been the chicken's way out not to see him face to face to tell him I can never see him again. I had to stay there just to find a time when he wasn't too busy to see me. There are no photographs of us until that one taken in Central Park when I was telling him I can't ever see him again. I'm an honourable man.

It's not surprising his press officer has left by mutual agreement.

The "clothes he wouldn't wear in London" - he was photographed the same year coming out of Chinawhites club in the same blue shirt.

It was ALL very unconvincing.

I can't wait to see how this is recreated in The Crown.

That sweat segment is extraordinary. It could have done with David Mitchell on a desk opposite becoming gradually more loud and incredulous.

Have you seen the sweaty pictures of him?

My money's on a "tragic hunting accident" at Balmoral this Christmas.

Bang goes Beatrice's chance of a telly wedding next year. Although... the media like a royal wedding and a car crash.

It made awkward viewing watching how he was squirming, what was brought to mind was the Little Britain sketch where David Williams played the MP speaking to the press at the gate to his house about the boy he picked up in his car

Maybe that's what they based it on.

He talked about the whole interest in his relationship with Epstein as playing on his mind - almost like a mental illness. But his thick (non-sweaty) skin means he's able to just get on with it.

It was so awful to watch.

Does he actually know how to speak the truth or is his contempt for the general public so much he thinks we are all stupid
