The carnival came to Glastonbury last night. I saw a placard draped over some railings which read 'Glastonbury Town Council has declared a climate emergency yet they let a highly polluting event like this to take place. That can't be right'.
They have a point, it is no doubt highly polluting but it also draws a massive crowd and raises a great deal of money for local charities.
Do you think events like this should be stopped? |
