Watched Last Christmas at the odeon today. Amazing! Made me cry... however.. there was a Christmas advert on... and it was fantastic... it was John Lewis/waitrose... and it was hilarious! It is by far my fave!

What is your favourite Christmas ad?

John Lewis is easily the best ad this year.

The two M&S ones are poor, Paddy McGuiness why??? As for the Sainsbury’s one, it should work as there’s a nice theme running through it but somehow they don’t get it right. Kevin the Carrot should have been steamed and eaten last year and the rest are a bit meh. I don’t mind the Amazon one because it’s a good song and I like the singing boxes.

Do they really need to advertise Christmas? It's been happening in the same date every year for decades now, surely people don't forget.

My favourite so far is a version of the John Lewis one that turns into game of thrones halfway through, Edgar causing massive death and destruction.

I always find the cynical spoofs more appealing than the real ads!

My favourite is probably last year's Sainsburys advert. The English and Germans playing football in no man's land on Christmas day, really wholesome advert!

Yes. I think companies are going to have to really start pulling out of the bag to top some of these.

They are all a load of nonsense and completely unnecessary, we know it's Christmas and we know what shops there are to buy stuff in.

They could just give the money they spend on them to charity instead and save me having to sit through them ad nauseum

As an athiest, and the fact I hate the crap music, the carols, the forced commercialism, the only winterfest advert I like is the Irn Bru one you see in Scotland.

Has anyone heard of the complaints from parents about the John Lewis / Waitrose advert?

Seemingly, the dragon character is traumatising young children, so much that parents want the advert withdrawn!

Best one for me was the Sainsbury’s one the ww1 Christmas ceasefire and one that always sticks in my mind was a boots xmas advert and buster merryfield (aka uncle Albert) was advertising electric razors probably late 80s early 90s

Yes, Seriously!

The complainants have been criticised however on Social Media for having Snowflake attitudes and being over sensitive towards their little darlings.

The worst has to be Tesco’s

Talk about desperation.

What happened, did one of the board get a friend in to do a budget ad.

Shocking.
