I watched part of the programme and couldn't help feeling that his responses weren't as "natural" as I'd expect them to be.

I'd an uneasy feeling it was all too staged, that he'd been coached on how to respond, to within an inch of his life.

It came over too, as almost being arrogant to the allegations.

It was arrogant. He appears to think that we're all fools who will believe that as a senior member of the royal family his activities and whereabouts won't have been recorded for security and organisational reasons.

That includes Prince Andrew.

Which is why he didnt commit suicide and was killed.

As the entire circumstances around that nothing adds up.

Some people think hes not even dead and living life on a island or somthing and the whole story is a cover up.

Hes rich and privileged, to be honest I think they are all at it.

However, she says she was "seduced" by Prince Andrew, doesn't that mean she fell for him and was a willing participant with him?

I dudnt watch it to be honest just seen clips. Have read lots about it though.

A dodgy situation to say the least.

If it is proved he did abuse her then, lock him up.

If she was a willing, even though naive, participant who now regrets it and is trying to somehow clear her conscience, then should that be treated differently?

The problem is these people have power and money, they think they can get away without any suspicion. Not the case anymore

There seems to be a lot of rumours regarding the individual the op was discussing, many may be very false.

However the rumours would not have started if there wasn’t something going on for people to suspect he was involved in these type of offences....

If this was pre emptied by his PR people before any involvement of judiciary system or law inforcement, then I feel there is more to the story than what we are being told.

He should have dealt with these accusations long ago, by waiting he’s made it much worse. How can you say that you don’t recall visiting a certain part of a house where there’s a picture showing you there? He’s guilty and he’s pretty much made things so much worse for himself.

If you were on a jury and a witness gave that kind of evidence from the witness box then you’d tend not to believe them. I don’t care who his mother is, he seems to be guilty and should be dealt with. I imagine he will now quietly disappear from public into a comfortable life with privilege and lackeys.

There and to the left a bit

I didn't see it apart from the clips shown on the news and he did come across as rather cool and collected and rehearsed - whether he did or didn't do the things he's being accused of we'll probably never know, it's easy to get conspiracy theorist about, but it may also just be possible he's telling the truth, we'll never know for sure.

To add some balance though he's in a no win situation, doing the interview leaves him wide open to the kind of comment on this thread, but if he didn't do it people would be asking what he had to hide. And of course he's going to be coached and rehearsed to within an inch of his life for an interview like that.

Like I said the trappings of power mean we'll never know the full truth.

We are subjects in his eyes, the viewing public. So anything he says we the unwashed and ill educated subjects to the Royal Family should just understand that theirs is a complicated life and not open to scrutiny or criticism. That's how he came across to me.

He doesn't want to end up going to court and having perjure himself, so in his eyes and his advisors, it's best to put his side of the story out, on public record. This may discourage a prosecutor to call him to trial.

I've always been ambivalent to Andrew, he actually served with distinction in the Falklands (from what I've read) so I've always ignored him. However for this scandal he's a lying toerag, who believes his words have more credence than the victim who has already given a legal statement to the prosecution in the US. Which could end up with her being prosecuted for perjury and has photographic proof as well. I truly hope this blows up in his face and more information and proof is disclosed to the public

As some have said we'll never know the truth but he has been extremely poorly advised. A short interview saying he'd made an error of judgment where Epstein was concerned and looking back he regrets his continued friendship with him, leaving out the mention of being honourable would have served him better I think. I think too that he might have been better advised to issue a written statement along with documents proving that he was where he claims to have been. As I said above he wouldn't have gone to Woking without it being recorded somewhere.

Heres the thing. There is literally no way anyone walked into any of these events, homes, venues without being informed first as to what happens or what is going to happen or what does happen. If there ever was, that is a pretty shit job of the lawyers, security teams and assistants who work for any of the people who attend.

In one way it was a clever PR move to do this interview. If Andrew ever goes to court - here, or in the US, prosecutors will have to prove that witnesses or jury members did not see the interview and were possibly prejudiced by it.

Epstein and Ghislane Maxwell (Let’s not forget that Ghislaine’s father, Robert Maxwell accidentally fell off his yacht, and drowned, in 1991. After his death he was found to have misappropriated around £460,000,000 from the pension funds of his various companies including the The Daily Mirror. Sound chap he had been a Member of Parliament.)

Epstein and David Koch

Epstein and The New York Post reporter Larry Celona, who first broke the news of Epstein’s “suicide attempt,” his successful “suicide,” and the pictures of his bodyguard links to travel on Epstein's aircraft.

By sheer coincidence Larry Celona is an anagram of Royal Lancer. Guess who is the Deputy Colonel in Chief of the Royal Lancers?

It's amazing how all these rich and powerful people get together.

Other interesting things to learn about are Octopus PROMIS software and INSLAW software.

I served in the Army, my brother flew rotary wing in the Navy before climbing the command ladder. He never served on the same vessel but would often meet him and knew him well.

He didn't have many positive comments to make. He once described him as completely selfish and entitled, every bit opinionated as his father without any of the humour and without a degree of sense of duty.

Have been following the Epstein thing for quite a while now. Once you start going down the rabbit hole about this guy anything is possible. Everything has been written off as a conspiracy theory but the fact of the matter is when the rich and powerful are involved along with espionage etc anything and everything is possible. Things that seem incredible and impossible could be very true and because there are so many celebrities and high ranking people involved its all getting shoved under the rug.

"Have been following the Epstein thing for quite a while now. "

I'm sure it was all a misunderstanding and he's innocent.

The clip that I saw, he couldn't look the interviewer in the eye when he was answering the question.

The eyes were darting.

That's the body language of someone trying to remember something other than the truth.

I commented earlier on but missed on this aspect.

His Body Language was all over the place; it gave out negative signals, more so than his obviously coached verbal responses.

I've been following this story on various sites and other places. I belive the prince knew full well what Epstein was able to provide and availed him self of what was on offer, even or especially, the most tender and fresh of offerings.

As for Epstein, I get the impression his suicide was as much a surprise to him as it was to most other people.

Without getting into the Andrew / Epstein debate as none of us know Jack Shit that actually happened but in answer to your point yes it can happen. Its one of the very many misunderstood and still evolving side effects of PTSD. In my case it was a total lack of belief in myself, a need to prove myself, aggressive arguing and Depression. Oh and OCD!

Just remember this man flew helicopters in the Falklands War and saw Exocets flying OVER his head when we were all told they were low level missiles. He was also one of the first helos on scene when the Sir Gallahad was bombed, caught fire and so many Welsh Guards were injured terribly. He would also have been ferrying dead and dying men from battle. Many came home with PTSD for less and this was before PTSD was properly understood.

I thought he mentioned being a veteran just to change direction of the questions/conversation, regardless of the ins and outs of this dark side of his life he has pretty much led a double life. The courageous selfless veteran vs The ????(who really knows) BUT he was trying to deflect and I think it was pretty low to do that!

I find this thread rather curious.

Prince Andrew may, by reason of gossip and second hand reports and demeanor, be a tosser.

However has Prince Andrew been accused or charged by the New York police authorities of commiting an offence?

To put it another way, what criminal offence has he commited?

As I see it even if he had sex with 17 year old, it may be deeply inappropriate but not illegal in the UK.

Hence the angling by the woman involved lawyer for a trafficking offence.

Watching BBC's report I saw the lawyer for the woman at the centre of the matter angling for Prince Andrew to voluntarily enter a legal process that reduces people, whether innocent or guilty, who enter into it to mincemeat.

The following points come to my mind; firstly why is a civil lawyer getting involved in a criminal process. One would hazard the answer is to set Prince Andrew up for a civil case to sue for damages.

Secondly the civil lawyer gets a percentage of the civil damages or any settlement made to make an embarrasdong case go away.

I don't see the pursuit of Prince Andrew being about justice but about a pay day. Therefore I prefer to wait and see what the prosecuting authorities have to say about the matter.

This Thread epitomises why any man accused (lets me repeat this "ACCUSED") of a sexual crime is dead meat on social media like here. He is guilty before any charges are laid. He is destroyed by innuendo and inference and the conspiracy morons. To attempt a denial just confirms his guilt in the eyes of the judgmental.

He has not been interviewed, arrested let alone charged with any offence by any Police force or served papers by any Prosecuting body anywhere in the world. THAT is the simple legal and basic FACT!

He admitted still maintaining a friendship with Epstein was wrong, let everyone down and apologised. The rest he has denied right out as he should given he is currently INNOCENT! But being who he is and his position in the Royal Family this alone brings out the haters.

Regarding your last line -Having a close personal relationship with a known and prolific child sex offender brought out the haters - NOT his family.

You may also want to see if the Prince has ever been accused/associated with anything similar in the past that wasn't as well published in the media.

He may be entirely innocent....

Like I've always said...let's WAIT before judging one way or the other

I said the same when 39 bodies were discovered in a trailer - I was mobbed telling me how brexit/British government were to blame for the victims of war fleeing a war zone!

Then we were told that they were Chinese - and the same group then mobbed me telling me they weren't victims of war, but victims of a massively oppressive Chinese government!

I didn't get mobbed when it was confirmed that they were in fact Vietnamese nationals, in fact all of the vocal posters of previous days, didn't comment at all.

Point of the story - don't go looking for guilt OR innocence, wait to find out facts! Then decide

No one can assert guilt from the interview. Anyone saying that is a lying cunt. Although the interview definitely showed his arrogance and lack of understanding.

Personally I didn’t really judge him before aside from the royals squashing the investigation 7 or 8 years ago. So due to his demeanor and shaky explanations he has given an impression of guilt.

Having had a nose about this, the legal age for sex is 17 in New York and 16 in the Virgin Islands, obviously 16 here.

Now I am not saying there was no grooming going on as we obviously don't know all the facts but if he did have sex with this woman it was legal at every place she said they did

However I think even legal age in some states is dependant on how much older the other person is as to whether it is legal or not

Any half wit with a brain cell would know that it was a big act. It was such a good act it came across as very poor acting which would be the plan all along.

Make your defence look ridiculous and the fools will believe you because they will think if you were guilty you would come up with a better defence or excuse...
