I may have asked this before. I know I have definitely asked this on a few forums on my travels.
How much do you resist Change?
More specifically changes that are not directly linked to you or things you have no control over.
Example. I have a friend (I really do!) he can not handle the world changing, extremely narrow minded across the board. Fashion, food, trends, music, cars, TV and movies, architecture, city layouts, slang words etc. He gets worked up about any sort of change.
He lives in specific eras based on whichever thing it is, and is unable to see how things can possibly work outside of that bubble. When I say he can't handle it, I mean he gets so worked up and angry about it. |

I think change is harder to accept when it’s outside of one’s control, but I do try my best to embrace it wherever possible and see the good things about it, even if only small. But it really depends on the context I suppose. |

I relish change as long as it's for the better. It keeps life interesting. In my part time job things change fairly regularly due to changes in the law, new research and new guidance being released. It stresses some people out but it keeps me sane as it keeps work interesting when there's often new things to learn. If I had to do the same shit every day for years I think I'd go mental. My other job is different all the time too as I get commissions and I create new pieces. I love it. |

Used to terrify me at one point, that it would fuck things up, but that was more to do with me not being sure of my own abilities
I love change now and embrace it for the amazing thing it is!
(well, my daughter is never allowed to grow up or get a bf, but apart from ther, I'm good.... ) |

Personally I enjoy change. The minor stuff (used in my example) I don't really care about, it's been changing for years and years and years... that it would be silly to try and resist it. Pointless wasted energy. I like what I like and will continue to enjoy it even if the rest of the world moves on.
More impactful stuff can be scary, depending on what is changing I am still fully open to embracing that too. Though in a perfect world I'd enjoy my safety bubble to never change. |

This was one of my thoughts too. |

Personally not much, have changed quite a few fundamental beliefs over the last few years after compelling research and experience led me to realise I had been wrong before.
A pretty important trait I think.

I enjoy change up to a certain degree. If it's something I've a small bit of control over, it keeps me stimulated and I enjoy being challenged on how I approach things and learning about variations in life - I'm a curious sort and it affords me the chance to explore life and live it to the fullest. |

"Who moved my cheese?" - very simple book to help people get to grips with change and embrace it more.
I still fight it at times because I know I know better, but then I just let them get on with it and only release my "told you so" face when things don't go to plan.
But some of the best things come from things going wrong |
