"The gravitational pull of sun & the moon"

Ah i just remembered, at full and new moon the sun and moon are aligned, increasing the gravitational pull on the ocean.

I was driving home from work and i couldn't remember, i was thinking " the moon is always there so why are tides higher just because you can see more of it?" Now I'm having coffee and a poo and it all fell back into place!
