Why are some people just down right nasty and judgemental on the forums? Read a few horrible posts lately where people have been slated asking for advice, so far as to suggest the OP is not successful cos they need a decent hair cut. Really?! Are these people that vile in real life or is it the keyboard warrior mentality taking over?

Some of its downright nasty, but some of its banter, albeit not very well delivered.
Its endemic within the human race! I know I've made off the cuff remarks, which on reflection may have been taken the wrong way. |

I (her) totally agree, i felt too intimidated to post previously but now I dont give those people the courtesy of my attention. Focusing solely on the nice people, of which outway the negative.
Please continue to rise above it and post on the forum just like the rest of us are entitled to do  |

It's everywhere. Facebook is a fucking bear pit for it. I think it stems from people's own insecurities and unhappiness and self loathing and lashing out makes them feel temporarily better. In the long run though it will just make you feel worse. |

Personality transplant maybe but hair cut is a step too far.
Listen peeps, people may ask for advice but surely the answer is for people to be themselves?
That way they'll connect with others who match their needs. Advising people to be something they aren't is setting both sides up for disappointment in my eyes and logic.
Ok we can share tips on clubs, socials and the such but other than that I think it's dangerous territory personally.

As most seem to think there are haters, cliques trouble makers who are so unhappy with their own lives they resort to attacking people they seem vulnerable and they can target. Its not new though its gone on for years with various cliques over the year who attack in packs and defend each other.
Best bet is just to avoid them and not get dragged into their petty games. |

Ive certainly noticed this a lot lately, and its put me off coming on the forums which are usually quite enjoyable.
Unnecessary arsey comments or stupid things said to derail a perfectly decent thread.
Everyone likes to give an opinion its human nature but then just pass a thread by if you haven’t anything proactive to contribute.

That’s a good point, it does seem to be mostly men. Although I have seen the odd female agree with the idea. Strikes me as sad that some women have had such poor experiences of men that they are full of this type of cynicism to think men can’t be nice to just, well, be nice.. |

Can see this as a negative post, just saying it how it is. Lots of guys post in forums about how they can't get a meeting and site shite etc etc and people do get fed up with myriad of "oh woe is me" posts, which automatically gets the angst.
Forums in all walks of life are for moans and gripes, it is the nature of the beast. When things are good how many posts do you ever see saying that. Also get people think their opinions are the only ones that matter. Ultimately Forums are used as a way of getting attention which they can't get other ways, they are a hot pot negative emotions, it is just the way it is. |

"Why are some people just down right nasty and judgemental on the forums? Read a few horrible posts lately where people have been slated asking for advice, so far as to suggest the OP is not successful cos they need a decent hair cut. Really?! Are these people that vile in real life or is it the keyboard warrior mentality taking over?
No wonder people are scared of posting. Spread some love people.
Can see this as a negative post, just saying it how it is. Lots of guys post in forums about how they can't get a meeting and site shite etc etc and people do get fed up with myriad of "oh woe is me" posts, which automatically gets the angst.

Many people on hear are indeed very judgemental and or if not damn right rude. However, it’s totally normal for people to make judgments based upon observations. Even I do this and reserve my block button for anyone who deem it acceptable and or attractive to were sovereign rings and or more than 3 rings on anyone hand. But primarily I am more judgmental to the many on hear so vapid and self-absorbed and totally concerned with appearance and peer perception. |

I think the OP is right, there has been a whole load of nasty posts at the moment, some dressed up as "banter"
Banter is only funny if the person it is aimed at is joining in on the joke. Carrying on regardless of someone being upset is not banter
Advice threads ...if people are annoyed with them, avoid them altogether. We all need advice at times.

I find it difficult to say what I mean via the written word. Sometimes I think others are the same and are misunderstood. Also threads fill so quickly, responses are typed quickly rather than thought about.
Some people are just having a bad day and take it out on others.

I seen afew men post about their struggles to connect because of the competition etc or lack of profile writing skills... But I got my friend to do an experiment and he signed up laat night. He has two dates lined up and chatting to many of women. He lives in a rural area... So surely it's the delivery of the chat that helps men be successful? I stopped posting in these forums as I seem to get trolled alot for being honest.  |
